Premier League trio Leicester City, Bournemouth and Brighton and Hove Albion are all being linked with Robins’ Championship midfielder Josh Brownhill.
Bristol City have got used to selling their star players in recent seasons with Bobby Reid, Aden Flint and Joe Bryan all bidding farewell to Ashton Gate over the summer.
And, according to TEAMtalk, Josh Brownhill could be about to leave too with a number of Premier League sides hot on the trail of one of the Championship’s more underrated midfield talents.
It is understood that Leicester City, Brighton and Bournemouth are all interested in the 23-year-old, who took his tally to four goals this season with a brilliant solo effort in Bristol City’s FA Cup third round win against Huddersfield Town last week.
Brownhill signed a new contract until 2021 over a year ago but TEAMtalk believes that The Robins will let him leave should they receive an acceptable offer, though it is not known how much Lee Johnson’s side would demand.
Considering the likes of Jack Grealish, Bradley Dack and co have recently been linked with £20 million plus moves, Bristol City can surely ask for an eight-figure sum.
Leicester are perhaps the most intriguing option for Brownhill, considering that James Maddison has shone since stepping up from the Championship at the King Power Stadium.
