Everton’s Anderlecht loanee Yannick Bolasie could be on his way to Leeds United if Marcelo Bielsa’s side are promoted to the Premier League.

Leeds United have identified Everton winger Yannick Bolasie as one of their summer targets should they seal a return to the Premier League this season, as reported by TEAMtalk.

The Whites moved up to second in the Championship thanks to Saturday’s dramatic 3-2 win against Millwall at Elland Road, replacing a Sheffield United side who lost at home to Bristol City in the automatic promotion positions with just seven games to go.

As a result, Premier League football could return to West Yorkshire for the first time in 15 years. And TEAMtalk believes that Leeds will look to celebrate promotion by making a move for Bolasie.

The DR Congo international joined Everton from Crystal Palace for £28 million in the summer of 2016, as reported by Sky but he failed to make an impression at Merseyside thanks to a year-long absence through injury.

Bolasie then struggled during a forgettable loan spell at Aston Villa in the first half of this season but he has got his career back on track since moving to Belgium with Anderlecht.

The jet-heeled winger has scored four goals in seven league games for Anderlecht, who cannot afford to sign him permanently. This, then, should open the door for a Leeds side whose coffers will be boosted by promotion.
