Championship duo Leeds United and Derby County are keen on Birmingham City’s Blackpool loanee Solomon-Otobor, as are West Ham United.

Viv Solomon-Otabor has enjoyed an impressive season on loan at Blackpool and has seemingly attracted admirers from higher up the Football League pyramid.

It is understood that Solomon-Otabor has a year left on his contract at Birmingham and would consider leaving the club this summer. All Nigeria Soccer believes the winger was ‘distraught’ when he was told at the start of the season by then-Blues boss Harry Redknapp that he was not part of his plans.
But the London-born Nigerian has seized his chance to make an impression at Blackpool, scoring four goals and setting up another five in League One after rejecting the chance to sign for both Charlton Athletic or Bolton Wanderers.

Solomon-Otabor played 25 Championship games without scoring a single goal for Birmingham, however, and would have plenty to prove if he joined second tier sides Leeds or Derby in the off-season.
And a move to West Ham would certainly raise eyebrows. Although some of the Hammers’ better signings in the last few years have come from the lower leagues, such as Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell.
