Swansea City’s Daniel James appears to be the top target for Championship title-favourites Leeds United.

Leeds United are set to step up their pursuit of Swansea City winger Daniel James, according to the Sun, with a £10 million bid in the pipeline.
Welsh international James has seemingly emerged as Leeds’ top target during the January transfer window with Marcelo Bielsa keen to bring in a new attacking midfielder after the departure of Samu Saiz for Getafe.
Swansea have stood firm so far but the Sun claims that Leeds are making a big-money bid which could see James become their most expensive acquisition since Robbie Fowler arrived from Liverpool in 2001.
It is understood that The Whites are prepared to offer £10 million with £6 million to be paid up front.

Whether Swansea are willing to sell one of their prize assets remains to be seen. The Sun adds that the South Wales side value James at £12 million but chairman Huw Jenkins is keen to raise funds by selling players this month.
A skilful 21-year-old who is at his best when playing on the left, James has made 19 Championship appearances this season and produced four assists.
