Championship duo Leeds United and Reading have both shown an interest in signing Romania star Puscas from Serie A powerhouses Inter Milan.

Leeds United have been keeping tabs on Inter Milan striker George Puscas but the Romanian is set to join Championship rivals Reading instead for £8 million, as reported by the Mail.
Puscas might not be a household name in West Yorkshire but anyone who took in the U21 European Championships in Italy earlier this summer will tell you that the 23-year-old is a centre-forward with real potential.
The 6ft 2ins powerhouse was arguably the most impressive striker at the tournament, scoring four times in five games including one against England and two in a sensational semi-final performance against Germany.
An old school number nine with pace, power and a bullet header in his locker, former Sheffield Wednesday star Andy Hinchcliffe even compared Puscas to the legendary Alan Shearer during his Sky Sports commentary (27 June, 5:00pm).

So no wonder Leeds, who continuously scour the market in search of under-the-radar talents, have shown an interest.
But despite Kemar Roofe’s move to Anderlecht, it seems that The Whites are set to lose out to Reading. The Royals will pay £8 million while offering Puscas a five-year contract.
Hopefully Leeds have another striker lined up amid links with fellow Inter youngster Facundo Colidio. Because this feels like an opportunity missed.
