Scottish Premiership champions Celtic are facing another battle to hold onto French striker Moussa Dembele as Serie A side Lazio are linked.

Moussa Dembele no longer looks untouchable in the Celtic starting XI. The 22-year-old has been somewhat usurped by another French youngster Odsonne Edouard of late, the latter having made his loan move from PSG permanent for a club record £9 million.
And this appears to have given Lazio hope that they can win the race for one of Europe’s hottest striking prospects.
According to Calciomercato, the Rome-based giants are interested in signing Dembele before the end of the month as they look for a goalscorer to take some of the pressure off talismanic centre forward Ciro Immobile.
The report adds that the former Fulham youngster is seen as a successor for Ecuadorian international Felipe Caicedo, who is expected to leave the Stadio Olimpico before the end of the transfer window.

Dembele scored 32 goals in a remarkable first season at Parkhead but managed only half that tally in 2017/18. As a result, he no longer appears to be courted by the biggest clubs on Europe, such as previous suitors Real Madrid and Barcelona, with second tier outfits like Lazio most heavily linked.
Nonetheless, with two years left on his contract, it would be a major surprise if Celtic were to sell Dembele this month.
