Wolverhampton Wanderers are still reportedly in negotiations with Serie A powerhouses Lazio about a move for Brazilian defender Wallace.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a fee of around £6.5 million for Lazio defender Wallace as talks continue surrounding a potential move to Molineux, as reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi.
Not for the first time and not for the last, a Brazilian centre-back named Wallace Fortuna dos Santos has been linked with a move to the Black Country.
The former Monaco and Braga man was apparently a target in 2018, according to Radio Sei, and it seems that he is still on Wolves’ radar 12 months on. The fact that Wallace is represented by Jorge Mendes does his chances of a move to the Premier League no harm whatsoever.
La Lazio Siamo Noi claims that the 24-year-old has already said ‘yes’ to Wolves and understands that his Lazio career has come to an end.

A £6.5 million fee has been agreed, though Wolves would rather sign Wallace on loan with an option to buy. Lazio, however, want a permanent purchase to be an ‘obligation’ instead, meaning there is still clearly work to be done.
Wolves signed Spain U21 skipper Jesus Vallejo on loan from Real Madrid at the weekend but, with the Europa League looming large, more depth is required if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are to continue the remarkable progress they’ve made in recent years.
According to the Express and Star, Wolves’ dream signing is the Benfica stalwart Ruben Dias but the Portugal international has a release clause in the region of £60 million. Wallace is not only more affordable, he is more attainable, too.
