Lazar Markovic has not made a single Premier League appearance under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield and he is reportedly wanted by Anderlecht and Galatasaray.

When Liverpool signed Eastern Europe’s answer to Lionel Messi for £20 million back in 2014, they looked to have pulled off a massive coup.
Lazar Markovic was one of the most coveted talents on the continent when he swapped Benfica for the red half of Merseyside. So it is fair to say Liverpool fans were expecting a little more from the winger than 19 Premier League appearances in four years.

Markovic, in truth, struggled badly to adapt to the physicality of the English game and certainly was not helped by Brendan Rodgers’ apparent insistence on forcing him into an ill-fitting wing-back role.
But the Serb’s Anfield career has looked even bleaker under Jurgen Klopp. Markovic has not made a single appearance under the German, instead spending time out on loan at Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull and Anderlecht.

It is understood that Liverpool are hoping to get rid this summer with Galatasaray and Anderlecht among the clubs interested in Markovic, who has just one year left on his contract.
The Reds had hoped to recoup £16 million for the 24-year-old last summer, a fee that put off any potential suitors, and it seems they will have to demand far less if they are to finally get him off the books.
