Sabri Lamouchi’s reported interest in Feirense star Tiago Silva speaks volumes about his plans for Nottingham Forest.

Feirense forward Tiago Silva has emerged as one of Sabri Lamouchi’s first transfer targets at Nottingham Forest, according to the Nottingham Post.
The former Rennes and Ivory Coast boss replaced Martin O’Neill at the City Ground on Friday but he arrives in English football as a virtual unknown. Though Forest fans will learn a bit more about their new boss’ plans and ambitions with his transfer plans becoming clear.
The Post claims that Lamouchi is prioritising players with pace and technical ability, which is why he has turned to former Benfica and Portugal U21 star Silva.
A versatile attacking midfielder famed for his dribbling skills and ability to open up a defence with a perfectly weighted pass, Silva scored three goals and set up five more last season, though he couldn’t keep Feirense from dropping out of the Primeira Liga.
He’s feisty too. 26-year-old Silva picked up 11 bookings last season.

And with Feirense relegated, it seems almost inevitable that they will soon be bidding farewell to their star man. A move to England with Nottingham Forest could be too good to turn down, particularly as it will see Silva link up with fellow Iberian talents Joao Carvalho and Tobias Figueiredo.
Forest fans should be enthused about suggestions that Lamouchi wants to add technically-gifted, pacey and creative players to his squad. That bodes well for fans who want to see exciting attacking football under the new coach.
