Everton and Southampton are the two Premier League clubs who have been linked with Barcelona’s La Liga champion Paco Alcacer.

Paco Alcacer’s continued lack of opportunities at La Liga champions Barcelona did not go unnoticed in the Premier League.
Sport claimed a few weeks ago that Everton had made an enquiry about the availability of the £30 million striker, who they tried and failed to sign in January. The Toffees are also being heavily linked with two more Barca fringe players, Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne.
Meanwhile, The Mirror had stated in June that Southampton manager Mark Hughes was also interested in offering Alcacer an escape route. This is not the first time that The Saints had been linked with the former Valencia poacher.
So latest reports from Sport should be of interest to fans of both The Toffees and The Saints. Though it is not exactly good news.

It is understood that Alcacer will not be leaving the Camp Nou this summer. Barcelona have decided to keep their back-up centre-forward after the mooted move for Atletico Madrid talisman Antoine Griezmann collapsed in high-profile circumstances.
So Alcacer should get settled in for another year of warming the bench rather than leading the line for Everton or Southampton.
The 24-year-old made just eight La Liga starts last season and did not feature at all in Barca’s run to the Champions League quarter finals.
