Leeds United are keen to tie down Kemar Roofe after a brilliant start to the Championship season.

The likes of Mateusz Klich and Gaetano Berardi appear to have been transformed under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United. But Kemar Roofe is perhaps the most improved player at Elland Road right now.
The former West Brom youngster frequently divided fans last season despite scoring 14 goals in all competitions but no one is criticising Roofe now.
The 25-year-old has adapted to a centre-forward role brilliantly, scoring four goals in six Championship games while winning the EFL’s Player of the Month award for August.
As a result, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Leeds are keen to tie Roofe down to a long-term deal to ward off potential suitors hoping to lure the forward away from West Yorkshire.
Roofe, who moved to Leeds from Oxford United in 2016 for £3 million, is under contract until 2020 but it is believed that he is keen to sign a new deal that would make him one of the club’s best paid players.

Leeds have held initial discussions with Roofe’s representatives with formal talks expected to begin within the next few weeks.
In a further boost to Leeds fans, the report adds that Roofe should return from his recent injury absence for the away trip to Blackburn Rovers on October 20.
