Premier League powerhouses Chelsea will reportedly terminate Palmer’s Championship loan spell at Blackburn Rovers, allowing him to join Bristol City.

It seems that Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer is set to swap one Championship side for another.

The 22-year-old midfielder spent the first half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Blackburn Rovers but he has found regular starts hard to come by, having featured in just 14 of 26 Championship games under Tony Mowbray.

As a result, West London Sport believes that his loan at Ewood Park is set to be terminated, which would leave Chelsea free to send him elsewhere.

And, the report adds, it seems likely that Palmer will leave Blackburn for Bristol City with the highly-rated Englishman understood to be set to undergo a medical with Lee Johnson’s Robins.

Should the move come to fruition, Palmer would join fellow Chelsea loanees Tomas Kalas and Jay DaSilva at Ashton Gate.

An attacking midfielder renowned for his dribbling ability and cutting-edge passing, Palmer could be a perfect fit for Johnson’s free-flowing Bristol City side.

Palmer helped Huddersfield seal promotion to the Premier League during the 2016/17 season but struggled during a spell at Derby in the next campaign, starting just two Championship matches for the Rams.
