Turkish Super Lig outfit Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool’s seldom-seen defender Ragnar Klavan.

Dejan Lovren may be out of action for the next few weeks with an abdominal problem but it seems that Liverpool are still ready to let another centre-back bid farewell to Anfield before the transfer window slams shut.
According to Fanatik, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given Ragnar Klavan the green light to leave month. And the Reds’ former sporting director Damien Comolli is trying to bring the 32-year-old to Fenerbahce on loan.
The experienced Estonian has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Virgil van Dijk for a defensive world record £75 million in the January transfer window.
Klavan, who joined from Bundesliga side Augsburg in 2016, has made just 31 Premier League starts in two seasons on Merseyside and Fanatik claims that he is now the fifth-choice centre-back at Klopp’s disposal.

A loan move to Fenerbahce, however, will undoubtedly frustrate Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, who was prevented from bringing Klavan to St James’ Park before Thursday’s transfer deadline according to The Chronicle.
Benitez felt that the former Heracles and AZ Alkmaar man could offer cover at centre-half and left-back. But Newcastle’s policy revolves around signing players under the age of 26 with re-sale value, meaning Klavan did not exactly fit the bill.
