Arsenal reportedly want to give Aston Villa flop Jordan Veretout a second chance in the Premier League with the midfielder shining for Fiorentina.

Arsenal are interested in signing Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout and his agent was in the stands as they beat Napoli in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg on Thursday night, as reported by Calciomercato.
It is well documented that the Gunners will have to find a replacement for Aaron Ramsey this summer; a task that looks increasingly daunting with the Welshman producing some of the finest displays of his Arsenal career in recent weeks.
He even scored the opener as Unai Emery’s side outclassed their Serie A opponents.
But Veretout appears to be one such option.
The French midfielder spent a season at Aston Villa in 2015/16 yet his £7 million move quickly became a nightmare as the Midland side were relegated from the top flight for the first time.

He has rebuilt his reputation since moving to Italy with Fiorentina, however, and Calciomercato reports that he is on the radar of both Arsenal and Napoli.
Interestingly, Veretout’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, was at the Emirates on Thursday with Calciomercato suggesting that he was there to hold talks with both clubs about a potential summer move for his client.
