Aston Villa appear to have a very good chance of bringing John Terry back to Villa Park and the Championship after Spartak Moscow were spurned.

Aston Villa were handed a massive boost in their hopes of bringing John Terry back to the Second City this month.
It is well documented that Steve Bruce wants to re-sign the 37-year-old centre-back after Villa’s stuttering start to the Championship season.
And the Midland giants have certainly been aided by Terry turning down a move to Spartak Moscow, explaining on his official Instagram account that this simply was not the right destination for him and his young family.
Villa, then, are back in the race, and the Daily Star has some good news for Villans fans on Thursday morning.

They are claiming that the Chelsea legend will now ‘jump at the chance’ to return to Villa Park. It is understood that Terry has an excellent relationship with Bruce and is keen to give him a hand as the pressure rises from a number of unhappy supporters.
The former England skipper is expected to earn £60,000 a week during his second spell at the club.
His return would be a welcome one, given that midfielder Mile Jedinak has looked out of his depth at centre-half in recent weeks.
