Scottish Premiership champions Celtic could reportedly welcome former recruitment chief John Park back to Glasgow.

John Park could be set for a shock return to Celtic with the club’s current head of recruitment Lee Congerton expected to leave, as reported by the Express (15 March, page 61).
Congerton has been Celtic’s Head of Recruitment since 2017 but hardly won over the majority of fans with the critics pointing to a number of high profile failures, namely the seldom-seen centre-back Marvin Compper.
It seems that he could now be on his way out, having been linked with a move to Leicester City where he would link up with Brendan Rodgers for the first time, as reported by the Sun (5 March, page 51).
Congerton (below, second from left) would replace Eduardo Macia, who confirmed his departure from the King Power Stadium on Thursday.

The Express is now claiming that Park could be offered a return to Glasgow. The experienced scout left Celtic in 2016 with his head held high, having been instrumental in the inspired signings of Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama, Gary Hooper and co.
Interestingly, this would see Park reunite with Neil Lennon, who returned as Celtic’s interim boss in February.
