Scottish Premiership giants Celtic had reportedly hoped to bring Jason Denayer back to Parkhead but the Manchester City defender is possibly moving to Turkey instead.

Celtic’s chances of bringing Jason Denayer back to Parkhead this summer could be over.
The Scottish Sun reported last week that the Premiership champions were hoping to strike a deal with Manchester City for the 23-year-old centre-back, who shone during a loan spell at Parkhead in 2014/15.
And Celtic’s need for a defender with Denayer’s potential was highlighted in brutal fashion as they were knocked out the Champions League in the qualifying rounds by AEK Athens on Tuesday, just three days after going down 1-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle.
But it seems that Denayer won’t be wearing the green and white hoops again any time soon.
Turkish Football is reporting that reigning Super Lig champions Galatasaray have struck a deal to sign the 23-year-old on loan. It is understood that Denayer has agreed personal terms with the Istanbul giants, who he played for last season too.

And, to make matters worse, the report adds that the Belgian youngster has rejected the chance to re-join Celtic, with whom he won the Scottish Premiership title and the SPFA Young Player of the Year award in 2015.
Unlike Celtic, Galatasaray will be playing Champions League football next season after Denayer helped them win the domestic title in May.
