Queens Park Rangers had hoped to bring Tom Bradshaw to Loftus Road from Championship rivals Barnsley, but Ipswich Town have a secret weapon.

Matt Smith is the only player in Queens Park Rangers’ squad who has more than four Championship goals this season.
Unsurprisingly, with Conor Washington, Idrissa Sylla and Jamie Mackie hardly setting the world alight, manager Ian Holloway has his heart set on a new striker this month.
And according to the Sunday People (31st December, page 52), their top target is Barnsley’s Tom Bradshaw. The former Walsall striker has an impressive eight goals in 17 Championship games this season for Paul Heckingbottom’s struggling side.

Although there could be a problem emerging for QPR. Because the Yorkshire Post claims that Championship rivals Ipswich Town are also keen and could railroad Barnsley into selling Bradshaw to the Portman Road club instead.
It is understood that the Tykes are hopeful of bringing Kieffer Moore to Oakwell after he netted 13 goals on loan from Ipswich at Rotherham United in League One this season. And the report states that Ipswich could use the 6ft 5ins striker as a sweetener in order to nab Bradshaw from under QPR’s nose.

This would obviously be an excellent piece of business for Ipswich, who seemingly do not see Moore as part of their first-team plans but would be able to add Bradshaw to an already impressive forward line containing Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn.
But do QPR have any chance of landing Bradshaw now with Ipswich pulling out their trump card?
