Roberto Gagliardini is at the centre of a tricky transfer saga with a move to Premier League outfit Watford seemingly on the cards.

Inter Milan midfielder Roberto Gagliardini could make a shock move to Watford before Thursday’s January transfer deadline, according to FC Inter News.
The former Atalanta midfielder is facing an uncertain future at the San Siro after making just seven Serie A starts this season under Luciano Spalletti.
Gagliardini was also omitted from Inter’s Champions League squad, which was restricted to 21 players after the club were found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.
And, according to FC Inter News, the Nerazzuri are willing to let the 24-year-old go and could use him as a makeweight in a deal to bring Udinese winger Rodrigo de Paul to the San Siro.
Udinese, of course, are owned by the Pozzo family, who are also at the helm of Premier League outfit Watford.

FC Inter News believe that, should Gagliardini come under the Pozzo’s control, he will be transferred immediately from Udinese to Vicarage Road in a deal that would reportedly cost around £18 million.
This would make the Italy international the joint-most expensive player in Watford’s history, level with Andre Gray.
An energetic and dynamic midfielder who can tackle and pass, Gagliardini could be a fine replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure if, or when, he bids farewell.
