Anthony Limbombe’s Jupier League form for Club Brugge has attracted Huddersfield Town and Ligue 1 outfit Lyon

Anthony Limbombe is finally showing the sort of form that made him one of the Eredivisie’s most feared attackers during the 2015/16 season at NEC Nijmegen.

Limbombe joined Club Brugge in the summer of 2016 but struggled badly in his first year in the Jupiler League. But the 23-year-old is showing just how dangerous he can be this season, scoring six goals and producing seven assists in all competitions for a Brugge side cruising to the Belgian title.
Limbombe was even rewarded with a first ever call-up to the Belgium national team back in March with the winger in with a genuine change of joining Kevin de Bruyne, Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and co on the plane to Russia this summer.
But, before then, he could seal a big money move away from Brugge.

HLN believes it is already a foregone conclusion that Limbombe will leave this summer with Huddersfield interested in a player who is understood to be valued at £13 million. Interestingly, Limbombe has stepped up to replace Jose Izquierdo, who left Brugge for Premier League rivals Brighton last summer.
The report adds that Ligue 1 giants Lyon are keen but, given the choice, Limbombe would love to go to the Bundesliga.
Huddersfield’s bitter Yorkshire rivals Leeds United tried and failed to sign Limbombe in 2015, the Yorkshire Evening Post claiming that NEC turned down a bid of £1.5 million from Elland Road.
