Former Hull City striker Fraizer Campbell is apparently on his way back to the Championship with Jan Siewert’s Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town are set to sign free-agent Fraizer Campbell after his release by Hull City, according to the Examiner.
The transfer window slammed shut at 5:00pm on Thursday and the Terriers have failed to sign a single striker all summer, despite a dismal goal-scoring record that cost them their place in the Premier League last season.
The highly-rated Karlan Grant should thrive at this level but Colin Quaner is far from prolific. Steve Mounie, meanwhile, could still leave with clubs in other European leagues able to sign players until the end of the month.
So Huddersfield coach Jan Siewert must be fully aware that he is a little short of options in the final third – a position where the Yorkshire outfit are lacking both quality and quantity.
Fortunately, an experienced and proven Championship goalscorer could be on his way to Huddersfield very soon.

According to the Examiner, former Hull, Sunderland and Manchester United striker Campbell is set to sign on a free transfer.
Sky (7 August, 7.06pm) claimed that West Brom were also interested Charlie Austin’s deadline-day move to The Hawthorns appears to have left Huddersfield free to complete a deal for the unattached 31-year-old.
It seems unlikely that Campbell alone is going to turn The Terriers into top dogs in the Championship but 12 goals for Hull in 2018/19 is not to be sniffed at.
