Will Scottish Premiership champions Celtic sign Huddersfield Town defender ‘Zanka’ Jorgensen as well as Toulouse’s Christopher Jullien?

Mathias Jorgensen has been told that he is free to leave Huddersfield Town this summer but Celtic would have to part with a hefty £5 million fee to bring the Danish international to Scotland, according to the Daily Record.
It is hardly a well-held secret that Celtic are scouring the market for a centre-half.
According to La Depeche, a deal to bring Toulouse giant Christopher Jullien to Parkhead is ‘done’ but, with the Scottish Premiership champions needing to replace Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic, the Frenchman might not be the only defender on his way to Glasgow in the next few weeks.
Jorgensen is also a target despite a dismal season at Huddersfield which resulted in The Terriers finishing bottom of the Premier League table.
With just one year left on his contract, the 29-year-old former Copenhagen star looks set to leave the John Smith’s Stadium this summer with Huddersfield telling him that he is free to find a new club.

It remains to be seen whether Celtic would be willing to pay £5 million for a player who will turn 30 before the end of next season, however.
That is not really how Celtic do things and the impending addition of the experienced Jullien is more an exception than a rule. With Jullien on his way in, don’t be surprised if Celtic look at a younger option instead with the likes of 18-year-old Nantes age Nathan Gassama also on their radar.
