Manchester United backed out of a deal to sign Leicester City’s Maguire last year but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants him now.

Harry Maguire is open to leaving Leicester City this summer with Manchester United renewing their interest in the England international, as reported by the Daily Star.
Maguire is currently one of the most highly-rated defenders anywhere in the Premier League, having shone in the blue of Leicester and standing out as England reached the semi-finals of the World Cup last summer, even scoring a bullet header in the last-eight clash with Sweden.
Manchester United wanted to sign the 26-year-old once he returned from Russia but the Old Trafford chiefs baulked at his £80 million price-tag, according to the Express. This apparently drove a wedge between the club and then-manager Jose Mourinho.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is at the helm these days but it seems the affable Norwegian is set to continue Mourinho’s work.

The Star reports that Solskjaer wants to build his back line around the former Hull and Sheffield United defender, who will now cost around £65 million. Maguire could earn £140,000 a week in Manchester, double the figure he is currently taking home at the King Power.
Maguire only signed a new long-term contract in September but the Star adds that he is keen to join United this summer. Worrying times ahead for Leicester, then.
