Wolverhampton Wanderers might just have been handed fresh hope of signing the exciting Juventus left-back Rogerio thanks to reports in Italy on Tuesday morning.

Brazil U20 international Rogerio is yet to establish himself in Max Allegri’s first-team but has earned rave reviews during his second season on loan at Serie A rivals Sassuolo.

An attack-minded and technically gifted player, the 21-year-old is the epitome of a modern full-back and looks like a perfect fit for Nuno Espirito Santo’s 3-5-2 formation at Molineux.

Tuttomercatoweb report that Wolves offered £16 million in January.

So claims from Calciomercato that Juventus have their heart set on signing another talented Brazilian left-back should not go unnoticed in the Black Country.

It is stated that the Italian league leaders have been tracking 18-year-old Palmeiras starlet Luan Candido for some time, with the teenager considered as the heir to Marcelo in his homeland.

Barcelona are allegedly interested, too, but Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici is claimed to have made Luan a priority with a proposal being put together.

There is surely room in Turin for only one fresh-faced Brazilian left-back. Wolves, then, should be watching developments closely.
