After seven years in Sweden with Ostersunds, Graham Potter is reportedly set to return to Britain with Championship newcomers Swansea City.

Swansea City have a history of rather left-field appointments, from Michael Laudrup to Francesco Guidolin and the lesser-spotted Bob Bradley.
And Graham Potter would be about as left-field as they come. The 43-year-old Englishman has spent his entire managerial career in Sweden, becoming something of a local legend for his remarkable work with Ostersunds. In less than eight years, the Swedish minnows have gone from the fourth tier to a Europa League knockout tie against Arsenal.

It was understood that proven Championship managers like Dean Smith, Lee Johnson and Jaap Stam were also in the frame, as was Frank de Boer who, despite dreadful spells at Inter Milan and Crystal Palace, enjoyed huge success with Ajax.

It is understood that the Ostersunds players have been informed of Potter’s impending departure and it will be fascinating to see how he does in his first spell in English football.
Interestingly, The Mirror adds that Swansea interviewed Potter back in December before they replaced Paul Clement with Carvalhal.
