Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have emerged as a potential destination for Goncalo Guedes, the PSG winger who shone at Valencia.

Goncalo Guedes of Valencia CF tackles Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona during the La Liga match between Barcelona and Valencia at Camp Nou on April 14, 2018 in Barcelona, Spain.

For Wolverhampton Wanderers, the star names just keep on being linked.

Another Jorge Mendes client has been tipped for a shock move to Molineux and this is perhaps the biggest of the lot. It is certainly the most expensive.

According to Get French Football News, Goncalo Guedes could be on his way to Wolves this summer.

Recent reports suggested that PSG expected to be sanctioned for breaking Financial Fair Play rules, meaning they could be forced to sell a number of players with Angel Di Maria, Layvin Kurzawa and Yuri Berchiche among those linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 champions.

And Guedes could also be up for grabs. It is understood that PSG value the Portuguese international, who they signed from Benfica in January 2017, at around £39 million.

But a permanent move to La Liga club Valencia, where Guedes starred on loan last season, appears to be no closer. So PSG, who seem keen to sell this summer, are now hoping that Wolves step in and take him off their hands.

The 21-year-old, as you might expect, is represented by Jorge Mendes, the super-agent who has a close relationship with Wolves’ Chinese billionaire owners, who would likely have little trouble affording the near £40 million transfer fee.

Guedes scored five goals and set up nine more in La Liga last season as Valencia finished fourth, qualifying for the Champions League.
