Ki Sung-Yeung’s contract at Swansea City expires in the summer with Premier League rivals West Ham United having been linked in January.

Ki Sung-Yeung did not hold back when asked why he was keen to stay at Swansea City and snub interest from West Ham United during the January transfer window.
“I don’t think West Ham are better than us,” the South Korean international said in quotes reported by Wales Online, shortly after West Ham boss David Moyes had admitted the club were considering a move to bring Ki to the London Stadium as part of the deal that would see Andre Ayew return to South Wales.

Since West Ham missed out, there only seemed to be one place Ki was heading – AC Milan.
Milan sporting director Massimo Mirabelli knows Ki well from his time working at Sunderland, where the 29-year-old spent the 2013/14 season on loan.

But, in news that should be of interest to West Ham, the report adds that Ki would rather stay in the Premier League, either with Swansea or another club. And it is understood that a move to London would appeal at the end of this season.
So should West Ham survive, they should be encouraged to make another move for Ki with Moyes making clear that a central midfielder is his top target.
Ki might have snubbed The Hammers three months ago – but his desire to play in the capital could perhaps make him have a change of heart.
