Spurs have identified Layvin Kurzawa as a potential answer to their left-back conundrum – and he has no future at Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

As PSG have discovered, making two of the world’s best attacking talents the most expensive players in footballing history only takes you so far.
As long as the rest of the team remains a step below Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, Les Parisiens’ Champions League dream will continue to evade them.
So, after being brought down to earth with a bump via their 5-2 Champions League round-of-16 defeat to Real Madrid, it is little surprise that PSG are set for a major squad overhaul this summer with the club aiming to shift a whole lot of deadwood.

This is excellent news for a Spurs side who signed Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura from PSG in the last two transfer windows. According to RMC Sport this weekend, Tottenham Hotspur are keen to raid the Ligue 1 leaders once again with Mauricio Pochettino on the lookout for a new left-back amid doubts about the future of Danny Rose.

The 25-year-old Kurzawa, who joined PSG from Monaco in 2015, was understood to be furious after he was omitted for both legs of the Real Madrid clash in favour of Spaniard Yuri Berchiche, ironically a former Tottenham player.
And Pochettino will be enthused by reports in Le Parisien that Kurzawa is likely to be the first player PSG cash in on this summer. With deals for Ryan Sessegnon and Luke Shaw likely to be difficult, Kurzawa’s availability gives them an excellent option.
