Turkish Super Lig giants are reportedly interested in signing striker Alfredo Morelos from Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers.

It looked certain that Alfredo Morelos was going to leave Rangers this summer, even after the Ibrox giants turned down a raft of bids from the Chinese Super League back in the winter.
It was even claimed that Fener would offer Martin Skrtel in a player-plus-cash deal for Morelos. Skrtel, a former team-mate of Steven Gerrard at Liverpool, had been one of Rangers’ top targets this summer, only for his wage demands to seemingly scupper a move.
And latest reports from Fanatik have shed new light on this intriguing situation.

It is understood that Gerrard, who is embarking upon his first season in top level management, is keen to keep Morelos at Ibrox this summer and it doesn’t take a genius to work out why. The former HJK Helsinki striker was Rangers’ joint top scorer last season with 18 goals and he would be very difficult to replace.
And Fanatik adds that Rangers would only consider selling their prized asset for a high price. They rejected an offer of £9 million from Beijing Renhe a few months ago so that is the ballpark figure that Fenerbahce would probably have to offer.

It is claimed that Fenerbahce, who are not awash with cash, will not go all out for Morelos if Rangers are playing hardball – which seems to suggest this will not be the club he leaves Ibrox for.
