Premier League strugglers Fulham have been linked with Inter Milan’s out-of-favour Serie A star Antonio Candreva – will he swap the San Siro for Craven Cottage?

Antonio Candreva has gone from first-team star to fringe player at Inter Milan this season.

Thanks in part to the arrival of Matteo Politano on loan from Sassuolo, the 31-year-old winger has found his opportunities limited under Luciano Spaletti with just four Serie A starts to his name since the campaign began – something that has left the Italy international understandably frustrated.

And Fulham could look to take full advantage, according to Calciomercato.

The Premier League’s bottom club have picked up just five points from a possible 36 despite spending over £100 million on new players over the summer. Nonetheless, The Cottagers could invest even more in the January window with new manager Claudio Ranieri keen to reinforce an attack that has averaged less than a goal a game so far.

And Candreva would provide real quality from out wide. He is one of the best crossers of the ball around, producing 18 Serie A assists in the last two seasons, and could be key to getting the best out of the isolated target man Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Calciomercato adds that West Ham United, who were linked with the former Lazio star over the summer, are interested again. The long-term injury suffered by Andriy Yarmolenko has opened up a space for a new addition on the right wing and Candreva would fit the bill.

Candreva moved to the San Siro in 2016 with Inter paying around £20 million, according to Calciomercato.
