Bournemouth will reportedly let Harry Arter go this summer but Fulham could offer him the chance to stay in the Premier League.
After eight years at Bournemouth, during which Harry Arter has gone from League One to the top flight, it seems that the 28-year-old’s time on the South Coast is over.
The Mirror (live blog, 18 July, 10.07pm) reported that the Cherries are ready to cash in on their long-serving midfielder this summer, with manager Eddie Howe eyeing a big-money move for Colombian international Jefferson Lerma.
Although Arter should not struggle to get a Premier League lifeline, even if links with West Ham have dried up following the departure of David Moyes.
The Mirror (live blog, 12.19am) is reporting that newly promoted Fulham could offer Arter the chance to remain in the top flight next season. It is reported that he has been recommended to Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic by brother-in-law Scott Parker, who was appointed as the Cottagers’ first-team coach this month.
Arter has proved himself in the top flight in recent seasons and would add depth and dynamism to a Fulham midfield already strengthened by the club-record addition of Ivory Coast international Jean Michel Seri.
The former Woking midfielder, who has made 13 appearances for his country, fell down the pecking order at Bournemouth last season however, failing to play in a single league game throughout 2018.
