Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham are in the Premier League’s relegation zone right now after a 4-2 defeat away at Cardiff City on Saturday.

There was a lot of excitement about Fulham ahead of their first season back in the Premier League.
The Cottagers played arguably the most exciting and free-flowing attacking football anywhere in the Football League in the last two seasons under Slavisa Jokanovic.
Then they went out and spent around £100 million in the summer transfer market, bringing the likes of Andre Schurlle, Jean Michel Seri, Andre Franck Zambo Anguissa and Aleksandar Mitrovic to Craven Cottage.
On current form, however, Fulham’s stay in the top flight could be a short one. One win in nine is a worrying statistic, while a tally of 25 goals conceded is more than any other team in the Premier League by far.
A 4-2 defeat to fellow strugglers Cardiff City on Saturday leaves Fulham 18th, three points off the bottom.

According to the Times, Fulham’s owners have now told Jokanovic that he has just two games to save his skin. Defeats against Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town could see the former Watford boss without a job before the trip to Anfield in mid-November.
Jokanovic has proved himself as a capable and forward-thinking manager since taking over at Craven Cottage. But, if he wants to remain at the helm, it might be worth sacrificing some of that attacking flair for some much needed pragmatism.
