Britt Assombalonga is expected to leave Boro and could have a new Championship club in Scott Parker’s Fulham.

Fulham see Middlesbrough striker Britt Assombalonga as the ‘ideal’ signing this summer as the Cottagers aim to make a success of their return to the Championship, according to the Northern Echo.
Despite the departure of manager Tony Pulis, with whom Assombalonga was rumoured to have a strained relationship, the club-record signing is still expected to leave the Riverside with a number of clubs expressing an interest in the £15 million man.
Sheffield United have made the former Nottingham Forest talisman a top priority and The Blades surely have an advantage over fellow suitors Fulham, given that Chris Wilder’s side will be playing Premier League football next season.
Fulham should have plenty of funds to compete for Assombalonga’s signature, however, given that they are expected to sell star striker Aleksander Mitrovic for at least £20 million.

And the 26-year-old could be Mitrovic’s perfect replacement, given that he has an eye-catching record in the Championship.
Assombalonga has scored 28 league goals in two seasons in a pragmatic Boro side; just imagine the damage he could cause alongside Tom Cairney and co at Craven Cottage.
