Premier League newcomers Fulham are set for a busy transfer deadline day with Southampton’s Matt Targett still allegedly on the agenda.

In quite remarkable circumstances, Fulham appear to have won the race for Joe Bryan.
According to Bristol Live, Aston Villa had agreed a £5 million fee with Bristol City for the left-back, with the 24-year-old then undergoing a medical and agreeing personal terms. But, at the eleventh hour, Fulham allegedly swooped in and Bryan is now set for Craven Cottage.
But this does not necessarily mean that Matt Targett will not return to West London before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
TEAMtalk are reporting that Fulham turned to Bryan with Southampton playing hardball over the 22-year-old’s future. But Slavisa Jokanovic would happily have both left-backs in his ranks and the Cottagers are set to make another bid for Targett today.

But Fulham would have to pay £20 million now for a player who impressed on loan at the club between January and May last season. They reportedly had two bids rejected on Wednesday, £14 and £16 million, and will now have to pay a bigger fee than they perhaps ever expected.
TEAMtalk adds that Fulham are also looking for a defensive midfielder to provide support to Kevin McDonald. They are allegedly in talks with St Etienne’s Norwegian international Ole Selnaes and Wolfsburg powerhouse Joshua Guilavogui.
