Gary Cahill looks set to leave Premier League powerhouses Chelsea in the January transfer window with Claudio Ranieri’s Fulham heavily linked.

Gary Cahill could be playing his football in a different part of London during the second half of the Premier League season.
The experienced defender appears to be on his way out of Chelsea after falling out of favour since Maurizio Sarri replaced Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, and there is no shortage of interest in a player who has enjoyed a trophy laden spell in West London.
The Sun (2 January, page 54) reports that Fulham are in pole position to sign Cahill during the January transfer window, with a six-month loan deal understood to be on the cards.
And, in a boost to Cottagers boss Claudio Ranieri, the Sun believes that Chelsea will let the 33-year-old leave on loan if they are unable to thrash out a permanent deal.
Cahill, who moved to the Blues from Bolton Wanderers in 2011, has made just one league appearance all season.

On paper, the former Aston Villa youngster would be a welcome addition to a Fulham side with the worst defensive record in the top flight of English football, offering experience and a winning mentality at the back.
