Kevin Malcuit’s performances for Lille in Ligue 1 have reportedly attracted the attention of Premier League duo Fulham and West Ham United

Despite plenty of interest from the Premier League, Kevin Malcuit swapped one Ligue 1 club for another last summer when he left St Etienne for Lille. But the right-back’s debut season with Les Dogues didn’t exactly go to plan.
With the Marcelo Bielsa experiment backfiring spectacularly, Lille finished 17th in France’s top flight, just a point above the relegation zone. Despite this, however, it seems that Malcuit’s reputation remains intact in the transfer market.
There are a number of clubs interested in signing the 26-year-old, according to France Football, including Italian giants Inter Milan and Napoli. Spanish side Celta Vigo want to sign him on loan.
Malcuit also has his admirers in England, however, with France Football adding that both Fulham and West Ham United have both shown an interest in a player who cost £8 million a year ago and could step up their interest before the transfer window shuts.

Fulham need a new right-back after seeing Ryan Fredericks move to West Ham United on a free and Malcuit, who is renowned for his attacking intent, would be a fine replacement. He assisted six goals in 21 Ligue 1 starts from right-back last season.
Interest from West Ham is intriguing and not just because Sky Sports claimed in 2017 that they expected to sign him last summer having missed out in January. The Hammers signed Fredericks (below) and also have Pablo Zabaleta in their ranks.
So Fulham is perhaps the better option.
