But, according to the Northern Echo, Leeds’ hopes of getting back to winning ways in the North East might be aided by suggestions that Tony Pulis could be without a number of his most important players tomorrow.
Strikers Jordan Hugill and Britt Assombalonga were substituted with apparent knocks in the FA Cup fourth round defeat at Newport County in midweek and The Echo has now claimed that George Saville and Lewis Wing could be absent for the visit of Leeds, too.
Energetic midfielder Saville, who scored in last week’s dramatic 3-2 win at West Brom, is suffering with an ankle problem while Wing, Boro’s wonder-goal specialist, might also miss out due to a groin strain.
Leeds’ shaky decent may be in for an easier afternoon than expected.
