Leeds United’s 11th hour bid to snatch Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon from under the nose of Championship Derby County seems to have failed.

It seems that Leeds United have missed their chance to bring Florian Jozefzoon to Elland Road.
According to Voetbal International, Leeds had matched Derby County’s bid of around £2.75 million for Brentford’s Dutch winger. The Rams had been leading the chase for Jozefzoon for the last few days but it seemed that their West Yorkshire competitors were hopeful of snatching him from under their nose with an eleventh hour bid.
This, however, looks to have proved unsuccessful.
VI is claiming that Jozefzoon prefers Derby over Leeds as he is enticed by the prospect of working under the Chelsea legend Frank Lampard at Pride Park.
And reports in The Sun are now stating that the former PSV winger, who moved to Brentford in 2016, is closer than ever to becoming a Derby player. It is understood that he is undergoing a medical with the Rams and his signing could be announced very soon.

This will only add to the frustration among Leeds supporters with the club failing in pursuit of countless top targets this summer.
Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez were both heavily linked but the Yorkshire Evening Post claim that Leeds have cooled their interest due to worries about their high wage demands. Kyle Bartley, meanwhile, has joined West Brom.
