Liverpool are reportedly interested in CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov.

Liverpool could miss out on a deal for Russian striker Fedor Chalov with TEAMtalk claiming that the CSKA Moscow star is refusing to join a club where he would play ‘second fiddle’.
The 21-year-old might be one of the most promising young strikers in European football, winning the Golden Boot in Russia last season with 15 goals in 30 league matches. But even he would struggle to force his way into Liverpool’s starting XI.
After all, there aren’t many players in the world who would oust Mo Salah, Sadio Mane or Roberto Firmino in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
And Chalov will be fully aware that, should he choose Merseyside over the likes of Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Monaco, that he’d probably have to get used to life on the substitute’s bench.
The Mirror reported over the weekend that Liverpool, as well as Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, had joined the race for the £20 million striker.

But if he is uncertain about a move to Liverpool, according to TEAMtalk, what chance do Spurs or Arsenal have of luring Chalov to North London.
Regardless of his vast potential, he is always likely to be a back-up to Harry Kane at Spurs while, in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal already have two of Europe’s best goalscorers at their disposal.
Perhaps Chalov is better off joining a ‘stepping stone’ club, a la Leipzig or Monaco, before making the move to one of England’s giants.
