With a new manager in place, plus changes confirmed behind the scenes with Victor Orta and Dani Salas arriving to peruse potential signings, it appears that Leeds United are finally rready to get off the mark in the transfer window.
Their first port of call? The kind of creative midfielder Garry Monk was crying out for last season as a lack of cutting edge cost Leeds a place in the play-offs.
And, according to De Telegraaf, FC Twente playmaker Mateusz Klich could be on his way to Elland Road this summer.
The ten-time Polish international has been linked with Leeds for a number of weeks and Dutch publication Tubantia claimed recently that they had an opening offer rejecting by the Eredivisie side.
However, De Telegraaf claim that the deal is far from dead with Twente already preparing for life without their 27-year-old creator. Klich is understood to be interested in a move to England and, as a result, the Enschede club are in negotiations over his sale with Leeds.
Klich impressed in his debut season in Holland following his summer arrival from Kaiserslautern, scoring six goals and assisting another four as cash-strapped Twente defied expectations to finish an impressive seventh.
And he has the class and the quality on the ball to make a real impression at Elland Road next season. The likes of Liam Bridcutt and Ronaldo Vieira are renowned more for their destructive rather than creative capabilities, meaning Klich could provide some guile amongst the grit.
