Aaron Ramsey is leaving the Premier League for Serie A champions Juventus, despite alleged interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Liverpool backed out of a potential deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey due to the midfielder’s huge wage demands, according to the Evening Standard.
It is well documented that Ramsey’s contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season, with his decade-long stay in North London entering its final few months.
And the Standard points out that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the Welsh international, whose hard-working approach, impressive technical ability and famous late runs into the penalty area would seemingly make him a perfect fit at Anfield.
But Ramsey has since signed a lucrative contract with Serie A champions Juventus understood to be worth an eye-watering £400,000 a week – which makes him the best-paid British footballer of all time.

And the report claims that this is why Liverpool decided against stepping up their interest. Surely that money would be better served investing into other areas of the squad with Klopp hardly short of options in central midfield.
It is understood that Manchester United were also interested in Ramsey, who moved to Arsenal from Cardiff City in 2008. But they are reluctant to invest in new players with their long-term managerial situation up in the air.
