Dedryck Boyata’s time at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic is coming to an end with a move to the Bundesliga reportedly edging closer.

Dedryck Boyata is edging closer to a move to Hertha Berlin and the Celtic defender’s experience appears to be the reason why the Bundesliga outfit are interested, as reported by the Berliner Morgenpost.
It is no secret that Boyata is out of contract at the end of the season and, while Celtic managed to hang on to him last summer, his future is now out of their hands.
The Scottish Sun broke the news this morning that the Belgian international is set to sign a £40,000 a week deal with the Bundesliga outfit. To make matters worse for Celtic, Hertha are set to sign Boyata for absolutely nothing after offering Celtic a fee of £4.5 million in 2018.
And the Berliner Morgenpost claims that the capital club have identified Boyata as a key target because they believe his top level experience will prove invaluable to a side whose form has dipped alarmingly in recent weeks.

Hertha coach Pal Dardai has claimed that his side are ‘too young’ and 28-year-old Boyata – the former Manchester City defender who has won seven trophies at Celtic – could potentially make a big difference.
Two-time league champions Hertha have lost their last four Bundesliga games, conceding 12 goals in the process.
