Lewis Grabban has been in fine form since joining Championship hopefuls Aston Villa on loan from Premier League side Bournemouth in January.

Will Lewis Grabban still be an Aston Villa player next season?
Aston Villa’s inability to spend this year has been well documented thanks to the pressure they have been put under by Financial Fair Play. Glenn Whelan, the £1.25 million addition from Stoke City, is the only player they have paid money for since last summer.

And Grabban would not come cheap.
Bournemouth paid £7 million for the striker in January 2016 and would be hoping to recoup as much of that as possible. And considering that the 30-year-old has scored 16 Championship goals in 23 starts this season during spells at Sunderland and Aston Villa, Grabban’s market value should be quite high as things stand.

So, like many of the other loan players on Villa’s books including Sam Johnstone and Robert Snodgrass, Steve Bruce’s side must secure a place in the Premier League next season if they are to fund a permanent deal for Grabban.
Although after successive defeats to QPR and Bolton Wanderers, Villa will know that they need to step it up and fast with just eight games remaining in the 2017/18 season.
As it stands, Villa are fourth and look certain for a place in the play-offs.
