No one has seen anything of David Wang since the winger joined Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers in January.
January signing David Wang has been forced to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan due to problems with his work permit, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Alongside Pedro Neto, Bruno Jordao and Meritan Shabani, Wang was just one of a number of highly-rated youngsters who have arrived in the Black Country since the turn of the year.
The Spanish-born winger signed a four-year deal with Wolves eight months ago after being spotted strutting his stuff for Jumilla B, a Chinese-owned lower-league outfit who agreed to a partnership with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the summer of 2018.
Little has been seen of Wang since then, however, and the Birmingham Mail have now shed a light on the situation.
The report claims that the teenager has a Chinese passport and is therefore unable to play in English shores due to a lack of a work permit.
And, after struggling for game time during a short-term spell with Sporting Lisbon’s reserves in the second half of last season, Wang has now returned to Spain to join fourth-tier outfit Granollers on loan.
It remains to be seen how long it will take before Wang is allowed to play wearing the famous old gold of Wolves. As Everton fans will tell you, with the Henry Onyekuru saga still fresh in the mind, it is far from certain that the exciting forward will ever get his chance to impress in the Midlands.
