Kenedy is on loan at Newcastle United from Premier League giants Chelsea and has been largely impressive under Rafa Benitez at St James’ Park.

Premier League teams are not permitted to bring in more than two players on loan at any one time from domestic clubs.

So Newcastle United are fully aware that they will have to offer one of their loanees a permanent contract if they are open up space for another temporary addition at St James’ Park.

According to the Northern Echo, Rafa Benitez would love to make one or two loan signings in January with seldom-seen Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke a long-time target. A deal for the prolific England U21 forward is impossible, however, unless Salomon Rondon or Kenedy are snapped up on a permanent basis from West Brom or Chelsea respectively.

Though the Northern Echo believes that there is ‘no chance’ that Chelsea will allow Kenedy to stay at St James’ Park.

The Brazilian winger has made just five Premier League starts since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Fluminense in 2015 but it seems that he is still highly-regarded at West London.

And reports in The Chronicle have claimed that Chelsea value Kenedy at around £20 million.

So Newcastle would have to break their transfer record to keep the 22-year-old at Tyneside – though the chances of a deal happening seem decidedly slim.
