Leeds United are understood to be keen to sign left-back Joe Bryan from Bristol City in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United are still in need of a replacement for Charlie Taylor at left-back, so who better than the best player in his position during the 2017/18 Championship season?
The Mirror (live blog, 2.31pm) claimed that Leeds were interested in signing Bristol City’s Joe Bryan, who was an absolute revelation as Lee Johnson’s side flirted with the play-offs. Bryan even netted a stunning goal in The Robins’ famous EFL Cup quarter-final win against Manchester United.
The links have grown a little cold since then, however. And latest claims from The Bristol Post don’t exactly suggest that Leeds fans are likely to see Bryan wearing that famous white kit any time soon.
It is understood that the Elland Road giants are unlikely to be able to afford the Bristol-born 24-year-old, who has previously been claimed to be on the market for a fee just shy of £10 million.

And, the Bristol Post adds, Bryan would prefer to sign for a club in the Premier League after seemingly outgrowing his boyhood team.
Whether this opportunity has passed him by, with the likes of Fulham and Bournemouth seemingly turning their attentions elsewhere, remains to be seen.
But if Leeds cannot afford to bring in the likes of Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez, as claimed by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Bryan could be out of their budget too.
