Slavisa Jokanovic is allegedly the top choice for promotion chasing Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion.

West Bromwich Albion will consider handing Jimmy Shan the manager’s job until the end of the season if he masterminds another victory against Birmingham City on Friday, according to the Mirror (26 March, page 48).
The Baggies’ former academy coach has been catapulted into the limelight since the controversial decision to sack club legend Darren Moore earlier this month with the club fourth in the Championship.
But Shan has stepped up to the plate in style, guiding West Brom to successive wins against Brentford and Swansea City.
Impressively, a team who looked shaky at back during Moore’s time in charge kept clean sheets against the Bees and the Swans.
And the Mirror believes that Shan could be given the chance to lead West Brom to promotion should they seal a third win in a row against bitter rivals Birmingham.

This appears partly down to the fact that Slavisa Jokanovic, who is reported to be the club’s number one target, wants to wait until the summer before taking over at The Hawthorns.
The Mirror points out that Shan will not get the full-time job even if he brings Premier League football back to West Bromwich – a situation he is very much aware of.
