Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want to bring prolific Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne to the Premier League in the January transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been handed a brutal reminder of the fickle nature of top level football.
After a superb start to life back in the Premier League that had some tipping Wolves for European football in 2019, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have lurched into something of a mini-crisis with Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town their fourth loss in five games.
And it seems that the big-spending big cats are now hoping to use the January transfer window to breathe fresh life into their stalling season – with Senegal striker Mbaye Diagne emerging as an unexpected target.
The Kasimpasa striker is hardly a household name but his record cannot be overlooked. According to ESPN, Wolves are in talks with the 27-year-old, who has scored a hugely impressive 14 goals in 13 games in all competitions this season.

And Wolves’ interest should have been piqued further as reports from Turkey reveal Diagne’s price-tag. According to Sporx, Kasimpasa have made clear that they want £9 million for their prolific talisman – a fee that would hardly force Wolves to break the bank.
It remains to be seen, however, whether a striker who has played in Italy, Belgium, China, Turkey, France and Saudi Arabia can make the grade in England. Though his new-found celebration will fit in well with Wolves.
