David Wagner left Premier League strugglers Huddersfield Town two months ago and has been tipped to replace Darren Moore at West Bromwich Albion.
David Wagner is not interested in a return to the Championship with West Bromwich Albion looking for a new manager, according to Sky Sports.
The Baggies are running the rule over a number of coaches after sacking Darren Moore on Saturday, the club legend being shown the door after a 1-1 draw with bottom of the table Ipswich Town. West Brom are fourth in the Championship table.
The Telegraph reported over the weekend that Wagner was on the club’s radar two months after he left Huddersfield Town with mutual consent.
The German has a fine record in the Championship, having led the unfancied Terriers to the Premier League for the first time in their history in 2017 via a play-off final victory against Reading at Wembley.
So with West Brom seemingly set for a place in the play-offs, you can see why Wagner would be under consideration.
But Sky points out that the former Dortmund youth coach has no interest in taking a job in England’s second tier right now and therefore is unlikely to take over from Moore at West Brom.
The Telegraph reports that Slavisa Jokanovic and Carlos Carvalhal are also in the frame.
