Everton are interested in signing Nice midfielder Adrien Tameze with the powerhouse keen on a move to the Premier League this summer, according to RMC Sport.

A former France youth international of Cameroonian descent, Tameze has been one of the first names on the Nice team-sheet since one-time Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira took over at the Riviera club last summer.

The 24-year-old has played 35 of the club’s 36 league games. And he could be coming to the end of his time in France with Everton keen to bring Tameze across the channel during the summer transfer window, according to RMC Sport.

Tameze could potentially replace Idrissa Gana Gueye, who continues to be linked with a return to Ligue 1.

Interestingly, the former Nancy and Valenciennes midfielder very nearly moved to the Premier League during the winter with Cardiff City very interested.

According to the Mail, the Bluebirds agreed to sign Tameze for a fee of £10 million, only for the deal to fall through after the South Wales outfit pulled out of negotiations at the eleventh hour.
